Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo responds to the fans after he saw the plane carrying the message “Come Home Ronaldo” above him during his match against Villarreal, but also dismissed links of a possible return, Mirror reports.
The 29-year-old was believed to be unhappy with his club after the sales of Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso, prompting rumours that he was looking for a way out with a return to Manchester United his next move.
Despite seeing the banner, the FIFA Ballon d’Or winner stated that he was very happy that the United fans still value him so highly, but also admitted that he was happy at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“How could I not see that plane? It flew past 10 times.”
“I always said that I have a family to Manchester but I’m good in Madrid.
“I’m glad of the affection that United fans have for me, it means that I have left good memories.”
