Tottenham Hotspur target Charlie Austin is ready to play out his contract with Queens Park Rangers before a possible return to the Premier League, Skysports reports.
The 26-year-old failed to help his side avoid relegation into the Championship last term and was linked with a host of clubs this summer.
Tottenham, West Ham United, Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace were all monitoring his situation during the transfer window, but were all unwilling to pay his price demands.
QPR revealed that they will only open talks over his potential exit if his £15million valuation was met as a number of clubs have already seen lower offers rejected.
Austin will see his contract expire at the end of the current season as his side may be forced to sell him in the January window if they don’t want to risk losing him for free.
The striker has already netted four goals in five appearances this term to add to his previous campaign tally of 18 in 36 matches.
