Chelsea star Pedro Rodriguez’s perception of manager Jose Mourinho has changed drastically ever since he made the £21million move from Barcelona, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.
Pedro arrived at Stamford Bridge last month after spending his entire career with Barca, and he has been involved in a few bitter clashes between the Catalans and Mourinho over the years.
However, now that he is playing under the Portuguese boss, the winger revealed that his understanding of Mourinho’s character has totally changed.
“He is very different face-to-face,” Pedro told Spanish publication Marca. “He treats you like one of his family. He values and respects his players and demands much from them.”
The 28-year-old had a brilliant debut for the current Premier League champions, scoring and providing an assist in his first game against West Bromwich Albion in a 3-2 victory.
But although he also supplied the assist for Radamel Falcao’s goal in his second fixture, the Blues were defeated by a defiant Crystal Palace side at home last weekend.
Pedro made 50 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona last season, scoring 11 goals.
