Southampton have slapped a £24million price tag on Manchester United and Arsenal target Morgan Schneiderlin, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Schneiderlin has been heavily linked with a move away from the St. Mary’s Stadium the past year, with Tottenham Hotspur also interested in the 25-year-old.
And the France international is expected to depart this summer, but the Saints will make sure that one of their star players does not leave cheaply.
With two years left on his contract, Southampton have the upper hand and have therefore demanded a large £24million fee to facilitate the transfer.
United and the Gunners are both extremely keen on a quality central midfielder, and see Schneiderlin as the perfect candidate for the role.
The Red Devils are however also looking at Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger, while Arsenal are reportedly in talks with Monaco’s Geoffrey Kondogbia.
Schneiderlin played 30 games in all competitions last season, scoring five goals.
