Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira has come to a verbal agreement with Chelsea in regards to a January move, according to reports from the Express.
Teixeira has been heavily linked with a move away from the Ukranian top flight for much of the campaign, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus keen on his services.
However, the Brazilian seems set to join the Premier League champions, who are now negotiating a fee with Shakhtar expected to be in the region of £30million.
The Blues believe that Teixeira will be the man that can add some much needed impetus into their lacklustre attack, with last term’s top-scorer Diego Costa only bagging four goals while Eden Hazard has yet to find the back of the net.
Interim Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink will be excited by the arrival of Teixeira, who has scored an incredible 26 goals in 26 games during all competitions this season.
