FC Porto are set to sell Arsenal target Jackson Martinez this summer, with the club president revealing that if someone pays his value then he will depart the club, Metro reports.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Martinez for some time, with reports claiming that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking to make the Colombian his marquee signing before the start of next season.
Tottenham and AC Milan have also mooted their interest in signing the striker, and although Porto have rejected several previous offers, club president Pinto da Costa admitted that Martinez is expected to leave after agreeing he would only stay for an additional year at the beginning of the campaign.
“Jackson almost left last summer but we agreed he’d stay one more year,” he said.
“If somebody pays [his value] he will go.”
This would come as a big boost for the Gunners, who are expected to make a bid of £29.5million in order to convince the Portuguese club to sell their star asset.
Martinez is having another impressive campaign with Porto, scoring 21 goals in 27 appearances.
