Paris Saint-Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed that English clubs have made contact in an attempt to sign him this summer, according to reports from Sky Sports.
However, the 34-year-old has finally confirmed the interest from the Premier League, which is definitely an option when he leaves PSG at the end of the campaign.
He said: “Yes, there is an interest, I can confirm that. We have to see where it leads.
“When the moment comes, when all the cards are on the table, that’s when I have to go through what I want, and then we’ll see who wants it more.
“It’s like a marriage. Two parties have to want it, not one or the other. Each side needs to want it as much as the other.”
‘Zlatan’ will be Sweden’s captain in this summer’s European Championships in France, and a good performance could see him even demand more money from potential suitors.
PSG were hoping to extend Ibrahimovic’s contract past this season, but the former AC Milan striker joked that the only way he would stay at the club is if they replaced the Eiffel Tower with a statue of himself.
Ibrahimovic has made 40 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 35 goals.
