Valencia star Andre Gomes has denied that he is set to make a switch to Chelsea at the end of the season, according to reports from the Express.
Gomes has been heavily linked with a move away from the Mestalla Stadium in recent weeks following some impressive performances for the La Liga side.
Manchester United and the Blues are said to be monitoring the attacking midfielder, and will offer up to £36million to lure him to their respective clubs.
It was earlier reported that Chelsea were in pole position to sign Gomes, but now the Portuguese ace has played down any potential summer move to Stamford Bridge, insisting that he wishes to stay at Valencia.
He said: “I’m not worried about what the future holds. I am convinced that I will stay in Valencia because I am very happy here.
“I just think about spending the next season in Spain. Chelsea? I do not know anything and also my agent is not aware of any opportunity.”
The 21-year-old moved to Valencia from Benfica last summer on a loan deal, and has become an integral part of the Spanish side.
Gomes has played 29 games in all competitions for Los Che this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
