The agent of Atletico Madrid star Koke has revealed that his client will not leave the club amid interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United, according to reports from the Express.
It looked as if the Spain international was set to be the subject of a January bid, with Spanish reports claiming that Atletico already received offers that met his high £46million buy-out clause.
However, Koke chose to stay in La Liga, and now his agent has come out to reveal that he has no reason to leave Madrid as his deal with the club is ‘extraordinary’.
“Today, he only thinks about Atletico,” he said.
“His stance today is to stay at Atletico Madrid, the deal with the club is extraordinary, we have no reason to think otherwise.
“The buzz has always been there. We’re talking about a top player, it is normal that big clubs want to sign him.”
The 23-year-old has been with Atletico since 2000, playing for their youth team before making his debut in the 2009-2010 campaign.
Last season, Koke made 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.
