David Luiz says he has no regrets on leaving Chelsea for Paris St Germain in the summer, with the Brazilian insisting he made a ‘good choice’ to move, reports the Daily Mirror.
Chelsea sold the former Benfica man for a massive £50million in order to fund moves for Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa.
The success of those two signings have moved Chelsea to the top of the Premier League table, and comfortably through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
But after the Blues 2-1 defeat to Newcastle at the weekend, Luiz now finds himself plying his trade at the only unbeaten side in Europe’s top five leagues.
“I made a good choice coming here,” said Luiz. “I am happy to play in this team. Of course I smile a lot. I am a happy boy.”
Luiz has been an instant hit with the fans at PSG, not only for his performances on the pitch but his personality off it. This can be measured in the fact he has over 5million followers on both Twitter and Instagram.
“I cannot share all my secrets, but I like to show that I am happy,” he explained. “And as I don’t like my face when it is normal, as a general rule, I make faces.
‘This activity allows me to be closer to the fans. I can show them my real personality.”
