Manchester United have been tipped to possibly pull off a major deal for Cristiano Ronaldo next summer, according to reports from the Express.
Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a return to the English Premier League during the transfer window, with former club United and even Chelsea reportedly keen on his services.
However, although he has been quoted at a massive £700million by his agent, French correspondent Frederic Hermel believes that the Red Devils have a brilliant chance of landing the 3-time Ballon D’or winner next summer.
“I think that Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season,” he said to French publication Le 10 Sport.
“I have information that confirms this.
“I’ve been told by strong sources, very important ones, that Manchester [United], Paris Saint-Germain and the MLS have a great chance of fighting over Cristiano Ronaldo’s services at the end of the season.”
After a slow start to the campaign, Ronaldo has suddenly scored eight goals in the space of just two games, alleviating any fears that the Portugal international is past his peak following a trophy-less season.
The 30-year-old joined Real from Man United via a £80million world record transfer back in the summer of 2009, and has gone on to break numerous goalscoring records for Los Blancos during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Last season, Ronaldo scored an incredible 61 goals in 54 appearances in all competitions.
