Liverpool have beaten Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal to Milton Keynes Dons wonderkid Dele Alli, who has been dubbed as the ‘English Messi’, Express reports.
Alli has put in some impressive performances for the Dons recently and sources from Spain suggest that the 18-year-old has agreed a deal to join Liverpool.
The midfielder was unplayable as MK Dons shocked the world by beating Manchester United 4-0 in the Capital One Cup last month, alerting a host of Premier League clubs of his talents.
And albeit Alli only recently signed a new contract with the club, the likes of Man United, Chelsea, and Arsenal will be disappointed that the youngster is set on a move to Anfield.
Reds manager Brendan Rodgers will reportedly spend £8million to acquire his services, but the player will rejoin Karl Robinson’s side until the end of the League One season.
Robinson already predicted that his prized asset will be joining a big club sooner rather than later, stating: “It’s inevitable that there will be a time when we will have to let him go, whether that be in January, next summer or whenever.”
