that Emmanuel Eboue is slowly proving his doubters wrong this season and thinks
that Arsenal should resist any such offers for the Ivorian in January.
If there was one player who continually tested the
patience, of even the most loyal of Arsenal fan, then it had to be Emmanuel
Hopeless, useless and plenty of other colourful expletives
were used to describe the Ivorian's performance on the right hand side of
midfield last season and had us all questioning the sanity of Wenger. It is
certainly not the first time that Arsene has kept faith in a player, much to
the annoyance of supporters, but his belief has paid off and Eboue has finally
resembled something of the player that broke into the team, in a blaze of glory,
a few years back.
Eboue for me has been the outstanding player of the
season and more than silenced his doubters. I never thought I would ever say
that, let alone be writing an article of praising him, but I must give credit
where it is due and the Ivorian has deserved plenty of it this season. On
Tuesday he was once again outstanding in defence and the only one that seemed
to have a clue and his versatility in the squad is vital, given our complete lack
There have been strong rumours in recent weeks that
Juventus have been sniffing around and looking to test the water with a move in
January. A fee of £9m has been muted and why a fair few supporters will
undoubtedly feel that we should be biting the arm off the Italians, if such an
offer be forthcoming, I just believe it will be a huge mistake on our part.
Do Arsenal fans still have reservations over
Emmanuel Eboue and would be happy to see us cash in, or is he slowly becoming an
integral part of our squad?
