AC Milan have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu, according to reports from talkSPORT.
However, reports in Italy have revealed that Serie A giants Milan are also interested in Calhanoglu, with the club putting the 21-year-old as their number one transfer priority following a meeting between manager Sinisa Mihajlovic and vice president Adriano Galliani.
The Rossoneri have had a rather indifferent start to their season, winning three and losing three games and sit 10th on the table.
And they are looking to bring in a number 10 or ‘trequartista’ to play behind their strikers in a 4-3-1-2 setup, with Calhanoglu the perfect candidate.
The 21-year-old joined Leverkusen from Hamburg last summer, making 47 appearances in all competitions and scoring 13 goals.
