AC Milan star Stephan El Shaarawy is set to snub a move to Liverpool after rubbishing talks of an exit, talkSPORT reports.
The Reds have reportedly considered purchasing El Shaarawy to join Italian compatriot Mario Balotelli at Anfield with rumours that ‘Il Faraone’ is unhappy at Milan.
El Shaarawy was even linked with a move to the likes of Man United and Arsenal, but after the 22-year-old scored a brace against Real Madrid in Dubai on Tuesday, the former Genoa starlet is adamant he wants to stay at the San Siro to help Milan qualify for the Champions League.
“I’ve already said, I’m staying at Milan and I want to do well,” El Shaarawy said.
“The win was also very satisfying for the team, we confirmed that we’re doing well after the Roma and Napoli games. From the point of view of the game we did well. It was a great day for me.
“We want to start the league well in 2015.”
El Shaarawy has only featured 12 times this season, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists.
