Arsenal and England have received a massive blow following the news that Jack Wilshere is set to miss the rest of the season with a new injury setback, according to reports from Football Insider.
Wilshere has not featured for the Gunners yet this term after sustaining a shin injury during pre-season, but the England international was expected to recover for the last few months of the campaign and fit for Euro 2016.
However, the 24-year-old has had another setback, breaking down at the club’s training ground during rehabilitation.
Now the chances of Wilshere featuring for Arsenal as they attempt to catch Leicester City in the title race and in the European championships for England are looking slim.
Wilshere’s forgettable season started when he suffered an injury during training before the Charity Shield against Chelsea, resulting in a surgery back in September.
He was expected to miss just 12 weeks of first team action, but he suffered additional problems that have kept him out for almost eight months.
