Piotr Zielinski’s move to Liverpool is in doubt according to his agent, with the Poland international midfielder not guaranteed a move to Anfield this summer.
The eastern European starlet looked set to sign a deal with the Merseysiders ahead of next season and it looked like a matter of when rather than if the Empoli loanee would be unveiled as a new member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
The German trainer is in the market to improve the playing contingent this summer and midfield is one area that is expected to be bolstered.
Zielinski has impressed on loan at Empoli and is expected to leave parent club Udinese on a permanent basis this summer, with some big Italian clubs also interested in the 22-year-old.
However, Liverpool were believed to have had the ascendancy in the race to sign the Pole before his agent’s latest comments.
Bartlomiej Bolek has stated that a move to Anfield is not guaranteed and it may not be until after Euro 2016 that his client’s future is sorted out.
“Is the Liverpool move at risk? Yes, maybe,” he told Forza Roma.
“Hard to say. At the moment the guy is totally focused on Euro 2016.”
