The agent of Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has confirmed Liverpool’s and Arsenal’s interest in his client, Mirror reports.
According to the Uruguayan media, Cavani’s agent Claudio Annelluci has stated proposals have been made to the PSG star.
Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Cavani as a direct replacement to the departed Luis Suarez, with the Reds already making an inquiry earlier this summer.
The former Napoli man however only made the switch to the French capital only a year ago, and is expected to be commanding a huge wage and transfer fee.
Cavani’s agent went on to clarify that his client is considering his options, with the Reds as well as the Gunners in with a chance for his services.
“There was much interest in the player during the past six months. I can confirm that Cavani has heard proposals from Liverpool and Arsenal,” he said.
“He would love to play in England, but has not yet made a final decision. He is not interested in money and fame, he just wants to be happy playing football.”
Liverpool have also looked into the availability of Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, but the Colombian is holding out for a move to Real Madrid.
