Agent of Arsenal star Joel Campbell has revealed that his client is keen to stay at the club after he was able to register his first Premier League goal, Metro reports.
The 23-year-old has constantly been linked with an exit due to his very limited playing time under manager Arsene Wenger.
He joined from Costa Rican outfits Deportivo Saprissa back in 2011, but failed to obtain a work permit until July 2013.
Since agreeing to the terms of his transfer to the Emirates, Campbell has been sent on loan to Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos, and most recently Villarreal.
He was called into the squad by his manager due to injuries to Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Aaron Ramsey, but has now impressed after scoring a goal in the 3-0 win over Swansea City.
His agent Joaquim Batica has stated that the forward is ready to stay as he is solely focused on helping his side win silverware.
“Joel wants to be successful with Arsenal and wants to stay,” he said.
“He was very happy after scoring his first Premier League goal. He just wants to be successful and win trophies for Arsenal.
“That’s all he focused on.”
