The agent of Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne has confirmed that there is in interest in his client from Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal.
The Gunners finished 2015 on top of English football, with high hopes that the North London club can become champions for the first time since 2004.
Arsene Wenger has recently admitted that his club will be busy in the January transfer window in an attempt to consolidate their title charge.
Insigne has been in sparkling form for a Napoli side with title ambitions of their own, with the diminutive attacker taking up a position on the left wing for the Serie A side.
Adored by the San Paulo fans because he is a graduate of the club’s youth system, the Italy international is one of the hottest prospects in Serie A.
Antonio Ottaiano has stated that Arsenal have been keeping tabs on the gifted forward, but may well face competition for his signature.
“We enjoy the interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal,” the agent is quoted as saying by The Daily Star.
“We’re talking about two clubs at the top of world football, but Lorenzo is focused on Napoli and his personal and team objectives.”
