The agent of Barcelona defender Marc Bartra has confirmed that an English club is interested in his client, according to reports from Sky Sports.
Tottenham have been previously linked with a move for Bartra, while Liverpool have joined the race by hoping to begin negotiations over a summer move.
Bartra is looking to gain some regular first-team football, and his £8.7million buy-out clause could be his ticket away from the Nou Camp.
And Javier Diaz, who represents the 24-year-old, has revealed that there is definitely interest coming from the Premier League, while other European sides are also keeping an eye on his client.
“There is interest in Marc from England and other countries in Europe,” he said.
“This is normal, but I cannot speak about the clubs. He is happy at Barcelona but he wants to play more games and we will look at the options. He has a €12m release clause in his contract.”
Bartra signed a three-year extension to stay with the Catalans last summer, but started only 11 games for the La Liga champions, making him reconsider his options.
The defender came through the Barca youth academy and represented Spain in every age group, yet has struggled to replace Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano in the centre-back pecking order.
