The agent of Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic, who is a target for Arsenal, has confirmed interest from the Premier League, Daily Star reports.
Brozovic only joined Inter last January in a £5million deal from Dinamo Zagreb, but is already looking to leave amid his struggles for regular playing time with the Nerazzurri.
And his frustrations have alerted the likes of the Gunner as well as Chelsea, with earlier reports suggesting that the 23-year-old was set to join the Blues this month before the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
However, his agent has revealed that a switch to the English top flight is still on the cards, with the Emirates a possible destination due to their high number of injured midfielders.
“He was looking for a bigger club than Dinamo Zagreb to prove his potential, and Inter wanted substance and freshness in midfield,” he told Italian publication Calciomercato.
“After a year, we can say it was the right decision for both parties. Now he’s a top player.
“He’s improved to a European level, and has confidence in his ability to further improve.
“Other clubs will see that too, Spanish and English.
“Premier League clubs know him very well — they believe he can improve a lot in the next few years.
“They also know he’s not cheap though.”
The Gunners are very close to sealing a deal for Mohamed Elneny, but with Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin, and Jack Wilshere all still sidelined with respective problems, the addition of Brozovic could be a big help to Arsenal winning their first title since 2004.
