Leicester City have been alerted following remarks made by Riyad Mahrez’s agent in regards to speculation of a potential switch to Barcelona, The Sun reports.
The 25-year-old has been in sensational form under manager Claudio Ranieri this season and has also attracted interest from Arsenal.
Despite his side edging closer to their first ever Premier League title, his agent, Kamel Bengougam hinted that his client could still reconsider his future in the summer.
“Today the only thing that matters to him is winning the title with Leicester and qualifying for the Champions League,” he said.
“It’s the time to concentrate on finishing the season well.
“The transfer window will open after the season. Then we’ll be able to see if these stories are true or false. What’s good with him is that he loves football. He doesn’t like what goes on around football.”
The Foxes are currently top of the league, five points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in second place, with only eight games left to be played.
Mahrez completed his move to the King Power Stadium during the 2014 January window and has now emerged to become a vital member of the squad under Ranieri.
He has already featured 31 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score 16 goals while providing another 10 assists in the process.
