Liverpool and Manchester United looks to be boosted by revelations made by Lucas Biglia’s agent in regards to his contract extension at Lazio, Express reports.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a host of European giants in recent months as La Liga giants Real Madrid are also said to have joined the Premier League duo in chase of his services.
Despite the Serie A club keen to keep hold of the defensive midfielder, his agent Enzo Montepaone admitted that his stay is not completely certain.
“A renewal at Lazio is not a certainty,” he said.
“There are lots of clubs, in Serie A and around Europe, looking at the player.
“I will meet with Lazio personally in the next few days, but it is not a sure thing.”
He was targeted by United boss Louis van Gaal during the summer, but after failing to agree to the terms of his transfer, the Dutchman decided to sign Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger instead.
The Reds were also looking to bring in Biglia as a possible replacement for Lucas, who was tipped to leave for Turkey during the summer, but later managed to win back his place at Anfield.
