Agent of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is believed to have met with Real Madrid to discuss the terms of a potential switch, according to reports from the Express.
The 23-year-old has also been heavily linked with a switch to Barcelona following remarks made by Brazil international teammate Neymar over his wishes to see the Reds star join him at the Camp Nou.
Despite speculation of a move to the La Liga, Coutinho recently revealed that he is very happy at Anfield and isn’t considering an exit at the moment.
“I am totally focused on Liverpool,” Coutinho said.
“I heard what Neymar said but I want to do well with Liverpool. I am happy here and I hope this season will go well for us.”
It is said that his agent is currently in talks with Real in hopes of securing a £22million deal for his services.
Liverpool are currently without a manager following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers, but is expected to announce his replacement in the coming days.
Former Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has emerged as the favourite to fill the role, with suggestions that a deal is already being discussed.
