Radamel Falcao’s agent Jorge Mendes has slammed Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal for snubbed the striker in their 1-0 loss to Southampton, Express reports.
The Dutch tactician dropped Falcao out of the squad ahead of the fixture, casting doubts over the former Atletico Madrid attacker’s future at the club.
And his agent Mendes is unhappy over United’s treatment of his client, and is giving an ultimatum to the Red Devils that if they do not play him, they will lose him.
“Radamel is a fantastic player and it’s very difficult for Manchester United fans [to understand why he was not included],” said Mendes.
“They have an absolutely brilliant player, one of the very best in the world, who would, without any doubt play 90 minutes of the match, every time, with any other club.”
“The truth is, right now, we don’t know what will happen [next season]. What we do know is that he will play in one of the very best clubs in the world next season, whether that is Manchester United or not.”
United will need to pay £44million if they want to secure Falcao’s services next season, with the Colombian currently on a loan deal from Monaco.
