New Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is set to cut his squad and will tell five first-team players that they can leave White Hart Lane this week, The Daily Mail report.
The Portuguese trainer is eager to revamp his inherited Spurs squad and is in the transfer market to sign new players that can help the north London side back into the Champions League.
William Gallas, David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas, Sebastien Bassong and Kyle Naughton are all set to be offloaded by Villas-Boas, with the players allowed to leave the club after being deemed as surplus to requirements.
Villas-Boas has identified a new striker as one of his main transfer targets this summer, and will revisit Internacional to try and sign Brazil international Leandro Damiao after attempts to seal a switch for Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City have stalled.
