Anfield legend piles pressure on City ahead of crunch title clash

Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler insists that the title race is not over yet despite Manchester City now sitting in pole position, as reported by talkSPORT.

City have three games left, starting at Everton this evening, and nine points will see Manuel Pellegrini’s side crowned champions again.

Liverpool were favourites until they lost to Chelsea last week, but Fowler believes the battle is not over as two of his former clubs go head to head for the Premier League trophy.

“The pressure has switched back over to Man City. They are the ones in pole position,” Fowler said.

“The Liverpool players were under pressure last week before the Chelsea game but I think it has totally switched over now. It’s all back on City now.”

“If Manchester City beat Everton at the weekend, it’s because Manchester City are a better side not because Everton have rolled over and given them the three points. You can guarantee Roberto Martinez will have his side set up to try and win that game.”
