Arsenal have confirmed that Jack Wilshere will undergo another surgery and could be out of action until at least December, according to reports from the Express.
The 23-year-old picked up a fracture in his leg during the pre-season and is yet to feature in the Premier League this term.
He was hoping to make his comeback during the weekend clash against Stoke City, but was forced to continue further treatment on his injury.
The club confirmed via their official website stating that the England international will have an operation to fix a problem in his left fibula.
“Jack will have surgery in London in the forthcoming days. This will involve inserting a small plate in his left fibula. Jack is likely to be out for approximately three months.”
Manager Arsene Wenger has already been dealt a blow after Danny Welbeck was earlier confirmed for surgery as he will also be out until at least December.
The Gunners have been struggling with a number of injury concerns over the past few seasons as Wenger’s options are very limited given his lack of summer signings.
