Liverpool have been hit with another injury blow after Jordon Ibe picked up a hamstring problem ahead of their FA Cup clash against Exeter, according to reports from the Mirror.
Ibe becomes the latest member to be hit by the hamstring curse at Anfield, with Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren, Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Jordan Rossiter, and Martin Skrtel all struggling with the same problem.
The young Englishman scored the only goal in the Reds’ 1-0 League Cup first leg win over Stoke City, but he will definitely miss Friday’s game with Exeter.
The club will reassess the injury after the weekend in hopes that Ibe will be available to play against Arsenal next Wednesday and then Manchester United on January 17th.
With 13 first-team players sidelined with injuries, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to sign some new players in the transfer window, with centre-backs currently the number one priority.
Ibe, 20, has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring three goals.
