Manchester United look set to lose out on yet another Real Madrid star following remarks made by Wales manager Chris Coleman in regards to Gareth Bale, Daily Star reports.
The 25-year-old has emerged as a top target for United boss Louis van Gaal ever since the January window following speculation that he was unhappy at the Bernabeu.
However, he dismissed the rumours regarding his potential exit and is now set to play a major role for newly appointed manager Rafa Benitez.
Coleman believes that Bale is not likely to accept a move to the Premier League as he will be keen on remaining with the La Liga giants.
“Gareth will do what he wants to do, he’s good enough to play for any team on the planet but I think he will probably end up staying at Madrid and who would blame him for that?“ he said.
“There is pressure in playing for Real Madrid but Gareth is one of those players who can handle that.“
He featured for his side 48 times in all competitions this past term, scoring a total of 17 goals while providing a further 12 assists.
