Alberto Aquilani will not be returning to Italy after spending just one year at Liverpool, according to the 25-year-old's agent.
Aquilani has endured a disappointing season at Anfield following last summer's £20million transfer from AS Roma, struggling with injuries and then poor form as he failed to win over his critics.
Aquilani's woes led some reports to suggest he was interesting the likes of Juventus and Fiorentina, but Franco Zavaglia has rubbished such a suggestion.
"A return to Italy? It seems as though the stories are being made up by journalists in the British tabloids," he told Tuttomercatoweb.com."I don't know anything because Alberto is happy in Liverpool.
"There is talk of Juventus and Fiorentina but the Bianconeri have yet to define the structure of the club before thinking about the market. Equally, Fiorentina has the issue of Cesare Prandelli to resolve.
"Aquilani has recovered well from his ankle injury and for this reason I think Liverpool won't want to sell him."
Aquilani scored just two goals in 26 appearances for Rafa Benitez's team as Liverpool endured a dreadful 2009-10 season.
