Arsenal and Liverpool look to have been boosted by speculation that Barcelona are not looking to bring back Inter Milan loanee Martin Montoya, Express reports.
The 24-year-old was linked with the Premier League pair during the summer, but he instead decided to leave the Camp Nou for Italy.
With the right-back yet to feature for his side since his arrival, it is said that Inter are now looking to send him back to Spain during the January window.
However, with Barca also looking to free up some space in their finances, he could now be available during the upcoming transfer market, a factor that could see the English pair reignite interest.
He rose through the La Liga giant’s youth academy, making his debut for the senior squad back in 2011, but has been unable to hold down a regular role due to the form of star man Dani Alves.
Both the Gunners along with the Reds could now sign him for a cut-price fee in January, but will be unsure of the move given that he yet to prove his worth this term.
