Arsenal and Liverpool battle it out for Barca ace

Barcelona striker Bojan Krkic could be set to move on from the Nou Camp this summer with both Arsenal and Liverpool linked with a move for the 20-year old striker, the Daily Mail claims.

Bojan has scored 41 goals in 4 seasons in the senior side and first came to prominence in Barcelona’s youth teams where he reportedly scored over 900 goals. The forward turned down the chance to play for Serbia and instead made his Spain debut in 2008.

Krkic has played most of his football from the substitutes bench as he has struggled to cement a starting place due to the fine form of Leo Messi, David Villa and Pedro. With the Catalan giants set to make a big-money move for Villarreal and former Manchester United striker Giuseppi Rossi, Barcelona could be willing to listen to offers for the attacker.

Liverpool and Arsenal are keen to bolster their attacking options and have both been linked with a move for Lille’s Ivory Coast striker Gervinho.

The Anfield club are said to be considering a £17 million double swoop for Bojan and teammate Jeffren.

With Barcelona continuously linked with a move to re-sign Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, there is even talk of Bojan being used as a makeweight in any deal.
