Arsenal and Liverpool have been boosted in their chase for Paris Saint-Germain duo Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi after recent comments from manager Laurent Blanc, Metro reports.
The former Napoli attackers have been heavily linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes recently, with the Gunners keen on Cavani while Lavezzi is an interest for the Reds.
Both teams could finally land their targets this January after PSG boss Laurent Blanc revealed that the club will be offloading players this month.
Cavani and Lavezzi have been suspended for the Ligue-1 champion’s last three matches due to their absence from training in Qatar, as well as the pair also returning late for training back in Paris.
The incident has fuelled rumours that both players could be set to leave, with the coach unwilling to forget the troubles they have caused.
“Nothing is forgotten. They [Cavani and Lavezzi] are two important players, we did what we had to do,” he said.
“They must accept their stupidity.
“There will certainly be exits out of PSG in the winter market.”
Cavani has been valued by the French club at around £45million, while Lavezzi could be purchased for only £8million.
