Arsenal and Liverpool target Ricardo Rodriguez has ruled himself out of a move to the Premier League after he confirmed that he signed a contract extension with Wolfsburg, Express reports.
The 22-year-old’s display at the World Cup during the summer has attracted interested from a number of English clubs, but with his side sitting second in the Bundesliga, he also revealed that he is currently happy in Germany.
“I’ve been here for three years and I’ve settled in well and made many friends here.
“The team is great and it didn’t take me long to agree (to stay).”
Club director Klaus Allofs also confirmed the contract extension and has express his delight that the left-back is now ready to continue his career with Wolfsburg.
“Ricardo Rodriguez has developed really well and his contract extension is an important step since he is a very important member of our team.
“We’re delighted that we have been able to convince him to carry on along the road we are going and we hope that it will continue as successfully as it has been so far.”
