Arsenal and Liverpool goalkeeping target set to force summer exit

Arsenal and Liverpool have been boosted by the speculation that Guillermo Ochoa has asked to leave Malaga after being left frustrated with his lack of playing time, Express reports.

The 29-year-old was one of the stand-out goalkeepers at the World Cup in Brazil, earning himself a move to the La Liga side after his performances.

However, despite showing a great display in the summer, he was unable to steal the place from regular club number one Carlos Kameni upon his arrival, leading him to only make four Copa del Rey appearances so far.

Ochoa is yet to make his league debut for the club and could be on the verge of forcing an exit in order to gain access to regular football.

The Mexican shot-stopper was linked with a departure last month, but the club’s sporting director urged him to reject any incoming offers.

He is said to be a top goalkeeping target for both the Gunners and the Reds, with the Premier League pair believed to be in the market for a new man between the sticks.
