Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to have joined the race to sign Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid, a player that has earlier gathered interest from Manchester United, Express reports.
The Red Devils were after his services during the summer, but it seems that they have cooled down their chase after signing Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, and Daley Blind, all players who can be deployed as a left back.
The Gunners, along with the Reds are keen on adding the £25million-rated Portuguese wing back to their ranks, both in the hopes of trying to solve their current defensive woes.
Apart from the Premier League trio targeting the Madrid man, AC Milan and Besiktas are also said to be after the 26-year-old who is currently tipped to leave the La Liga.
Coentrao has started only one league match so far this season, coming on as a substitute on three separate occasions while his limited playing time could be the main reason for his potential departure.
