Arsenal and Liverpool target to decide his future at the end of the season

Arsenal and Liverpool could still be in line to sign Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas, after he is set to decide on his future at the end of the current campaign, according to reports from the Metro.

The 33-year-old was believed to have lost his place in the squad during the early stages of the season, alerting the Gunners as well as the Reds who were both looking to solve their goalkeeping crises.

However, a string of good performances have once again secured his place between the sticks at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he spent his entire career.

The European champions have continuously been linked with a move for a new goalkeeper, with Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois and Manchester United’s David De Gea two possible targets.

A potential move for a new shot-stopper could cause Casillas to consider ending his Madrid career, but could favour a move to the MLS over England out of loyalty to his boyhood club.
