Arsenal and Man City brace themselves for Italian advances

Carlos Tevez and Cesc Fabregas are the two names at the top of Inter Milan’s audacious summer shopping list, according to reports in The Daily Mail.

After their Champions League drubbing at the hands of Schalke, Inter feel the need to freshen up their squad over the summer, and they see the Premier League pair as the perfect additions.

It’s highly unlikely that even monumental bids from Inter are going to convince Arsene Wenger and Roberto Mancini to even conceive the very idea of selling their club captains. While Fabregas’ future has been the source of constant speculation in the last year, if the 23 year old Gunners’ skipper was to leave North London the only likely destination would be The Nou Camp.

However, it’s rumoured that Wenger wants clarification from major shareholder Stan Kroenke that he has no intention of selling Fabregas over the summer.

The likelihood of Tevez making the move to the San Siro is slightly more feasible as the tireless Argentine has been unsettled recently. However, whether or not a move to Italy is something he would consider, remains to be seen.

If Inter are to prize one of their top targets away from England they are certainly going to have to show their resilience.
