Arsenal and Manchester United have been boosted in their chase for Southampton ace Morgan Schneiderlin after Ronald Koeman admitted that his star midfielder could leave, Daily Star reports.
The 25-year-old has continuously been linked with an exit from the St Mary’s Stadium ever since the summer, and may consider leaving at the end of the season.
Koeman revealed that he will find it very hard to keep hold of the France international due to the high number of interested clubs.
“It will be hard when there is real interest in the player. It is up to the player what he likes to do,” he said.
“It is very hard but normally if we have the season like we have so far there will be interest in the players of Southampton.”
Despite the two mentioned sides, Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in a move to sign the midfield anchorman, who could be persuaded to join a bigger team.
The Saints were battling for a top four finish ahead of the new year, but a string of disappointing performances have seen them drop into seventh place, eight points adrift from Manchester City in fourth.
However, with both the Gunners and the Red Devils tipped to qualify for the Champions League, the player could be swayed to join them in hopes of featuring in Europe’s top tier competition.
