Arsenal and Manchester United have been dealt a blow after Oguzhan Ozyakup admitted that he will not be leaving Besiktas in January, Daily Star reports.
The 23-year-old has been watched by both Premier League giants recently and looks to have caught the attention of the scouts.
It is said that the midfielder impressed during his team’s clash against Bursaspor earlier this month as the English pair look to make a move for his services in the winter window.
However, Ozyakup came out to reveal that he is not looking for an exit this season as he is solely focused on winning the domestic league for his side.
“There are a lot of rumours but I am not interested my only goal is to win the league with Besiktas this season,” he said.
He previously played for the Gunners back in 2008 after joining their academy setup, but failed to register a single league appearance before eventually moving to the Turkish giants for £350,000 in 2012.
The Turkey international featured in 10 league matches for his side so far this term, scoring three goals while being able to provide five assists (whoscored.com) and is valued at around the £8million region.
