Arsenal and Manchester United are not alone in the chase for Edinson Cavani, as Atletico Madrid are also interested in luring the Paris Saint-Germain striker to Spain, according to reports from the Mirror.
The 28-year-old is often being linked with a Ligue 1 exit, as he is believed to be unhappy playing second-fiddle to main striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and is often used out-of-position on the flanks.
Although Cavani has revealed his intentions to remain at the Parc des Princes, both the Gunners as well as the Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on the Uruguay international in recent months.
Atletico manager Diego Simeone is said to be a big fan of the striker, with rumours that the two have already met for talks over a potential move.
The PSG star is under contract with the French side up until 2018, but could be lured away if a big money offer comes in.
Simeone could also fund the move should he decide to offload either Arda Turan or Mario Mandzukic, both of whom are targets for Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
