Arsenal and Man United target reveals Champions League ultimatum

Arsenal and Manchester United will have to finish in the top four if they are to lure Morgan Schneiderlin away from Southampton, according to reports from the Express.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates, while United are also said to be considering his addition to reinforce their midfield.

Schneiderlin has often hinted that he wants to leave the club, but also added that if his side can finish in a European spot, he could decide to stay.

“I don’t want to be in front of the TV on Tuesday and Wednesday,” he said.

“But at the end of the season, Southampton could qualify for the Champions League and I could also stay. Who knows…”

The France international was set to leave last summer but was denied an exit, while Ronald Koeman is still determined to persuade him to remain at the St Mary’s ahead of the new campaign.

Apart from the Premier League duo, his services have also alerted La Liga giants Barcelona over a potential switch in the upcoming transfer window.
