Arsenal and Manchester United target Riyad Mahrez has been urged by his manager Claudio Ranieri to further his development at Leicester City, according to reports from the Express.
The 24-year-old has been on top form ever since the previous campaign and has continued to perform for the Foxes this season.
He has already featured in 10 out of his teams previous 11 Premier League matches, scoring seven goals while providing a further five assists (whoscored.com), as his team are now third on the table.
However, despite recently being linked with an exit in recent months, Ranieri insisted that the midfielder should continue learning and developing at the club before considering an exit.
“I think it is important for him to continue with us and to learn more,” he said.
“It is one thing to play for Leicester and another to play at the highest level.
“It is another very important step so it is important he grows up with me.”
Apart from the two English clubs, the Algeria international was also earlier linked with a move to Barcelona, but his agent Kamel Bengougam came out to reveal that his client is keen to stay where he is.
Leicester are also trying to retain the services of star striker Jamie Vardy, who is said to have caught the eye of Real Madrid following his displays in front of goal this season.
