Arsenal and Manchester United receive blow in chase for in-form duo

Leicester City manager Claudio Raneiri has claimed that star duo Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are priceless following their performance in the 2-1 victory over Chelsea, Express reports.

The Foxes boss was ecstatic after the win against the champions, as his side leapfrogged Arsenal to return to the top of the Premier League table.

“There was a lot of electricity tonight, without that we are a normal team but with the fans pushing us we are very happy,” he said.

“They continue to dream but we must continue to keep our feet on the ground.

“I told my players, five more points and we are safe. I think like this I put that target at the beginning of the season, when we achieve 40 points, we will change our goal.

“It’s magical time we must continue to work hard because I don’t want to wake up, I want to continue to dream with our fans.”

And once again, the heroes were Vardy and Mahrez, with the England striker scoring the first and the Algerian curling a second past Thibaut Courtois to seal the victory.

The Leicester duo has thus been heavily linked with an exit due to their fine form, with the Blues and Manchester United interested in Vardy while Arsenal have been monitoring Mahrez.

However, Raneiri is adamant that both of them are absolutely priceless, and no amount of money will take them away from the KingPower Stadium.

“Nobody can buy them. They don’t have the money. They don’t have a price,” he added.

Vardy, 28, is the league’s top scorer with 15 goals, while Mahrez, 24, has 11 goals.
