Newcastle United are trying to retain the services of Moussa Sissoko by placing a £25million price tag on the midfielder hoping to warn away interest from both Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, Express reports.
The 25-year-old is one of the stand-out performers for the Magpies this season as they sit in 10th place despite a very nervy start to their Premier League campaign.
Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has also rejected all advances from a number of interested clubs and is looking to keep the the midfielder at St James Park.
They have a negative history when it comes to the transfer window as the club is known for selling a number of their star players when they are performing and if a big money offer comes knocking, the France international may be sold.
Sissoko is also being urged to remain at the club because they will also be losing a number of key players to the African Nations’ Cup, with Papiss Cisse, Cheick Tiote, and Mehdi Abeid all departing.
