Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been halted in their chase to sign Roma star Alessandro Florenzi after Barcelona are said to have joined the race for his services, Express reports.
The 24-year-old has emerged as a possible target for the Premier League pair as they look to reinforce their full-back positions heading into the January window.
Both clubs will now likely have to compete with the La Liga giants in their chase for Florenzi as they begin considering possible candidates to replace Dani Alves when he leaves the Nou Camp.
The Roma ace is tied down with the Serie A giants until 2019, but his valuation is still unknown as no formal offers have been made.
Although he is usually played at right-back, the Italy international can also play in centre-mid or on the right flanks.
He has featured 15 times in all competitions for his side so far this term, scoring three goals while providing a further two assists (whoscored.com).
