Arsenal and Tottenham’s transfer hopes of landing Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang haves ended, with the versatile forward signing a new contract with the Bundesliga club, as per the BBC.
The Gabon international was a rare bright spark in an otherwise poor campaign for the Signal Iduna Park outfit last season, netting 16 goals in 33 appearances in the league for the German club.
Both of the North London rivals have been linked with a move for the African attacker this summer, with the Premier League sides ready to take advantage of Dortmund’s predicament.
However, Aubameyang has signed a new deal with Thomas Tuchel’s men that will keep him with the Ruhr Valley club until the summer of 2020.
The news is very positive for Dortmund, who have also had key attacker Marco Reus sign an extension at the club earlier this year and seen Mats Hummels distance himself from talk of an exit.
