Arsenal and West Ham United have been halted in their chase to sign Diogo Jota after Atletico Madrid agreed a deal for his services, according to AS.
The 19-year-old was also linked with Aston Villa, Barcelona, as well as Benfica, but is now set to complete a move to the Vicente Calderon Stadium from Portuguese outfits Pacos Ferreira.
All three Premier League clubs were said to have scouted the winger ahead of his potential switch to join manager Diego Simeone at Atleti.
It is believed that Jota has been persuaded to sign a five-year deal with the La Liga giants as he is expected to join during the upcoming summer window.
The midfielder caught the eye of the interested sides after managing to earn himself a regular role in the Pacos first team this past season.
He has already featured 28 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score 11 goals while providing another 10 assists.
